About Food Department

The AJ&K Food Department was initially established in 1949, their first head quarter was at Muree. The Department was named as Civil Supply and Transport of AJ&K and Northern Areas

 

Nutrition

The main source in the AJ&K diet is of wheat flour and food products made from flour such as bread, Chapati, and other baked goods. Other sources include semolina, bulgur (cracked) wheat, couscous

After the Earthquake of 8th October, 2005 the Department managed to dump food in snow bound areas, as well as on others Depots, despite the fact that all communication system was badly damaged, well before

 

Flour Industries
